So far no word from them. But judging as to how they ditched the modular system and redesigned the G6, chances are LG has already abandoned the G5.

If you asked me, I should have gone for the V20 instead of the stupid G5.

There is also chance for LG to abandon removable battery for V30 if G6 sales proved they are on the right track. Only G6 had a unique screen size but it aint oled and nothing else spectacular, it will possibly be another flop.

Same here. To 'prolong' the death you can turn off radios and reduce brightness.

This should be due to the voltage being not high enough to support all the functions.
