I can't wake up screen by double tap after putting my G5 face down on the table or in my pocket for a few seconds.

At the same time, the Always On Display also would go missing. If i put it face up all the time, then there is no such issue.

Anyone has the similar problem and know how to rectify it? Thx

Mine happened right after I got the phone, but for my case, I only left my phone on the table and when i try to double tap, there's totally no reaction, even when I try to press the power button a few times then the screen woke up. Then a bro here suggested me to factory reset my phone and up till now that problem did not re-surface. Though I am still unsure whether it was the glass protector I tried to put on affecting the screen or was it the reset that helps, but at least the problem is solved. :D

Is there any recommended case that doesn't add too much bulk on the phone? Am using Ringke Onyx and find it too thick.

Thanks!

had a chance to bring out my 3rd party wide angle lens and decide to compare my G4 with it attached versus my parent's G5's wide angle lens

to make it more challenging, took the photos at night, both using their respective stock apps on manual mode at ISO100, 1/4s shutter

The G4's 16MP resolution gives it the edge in terms of detail at 100% crop and the wider aperture pulls more light.

The G5's wide angle, aside from the obvious convenience of being built in (the clip on lens I used for the G4 is enormous), has way less barrel distortion and a slightly wider angle of view. You can see more of the HDB flats on the left and right edges.

additionally last time when I was in the M1 shop I remarked how the G5 seems to handle chroma noise better than the G4. Seems it may only apply to indoor lighting cos when I shot outdoor night time, the chroma noise on both (at the same ISO) were quite equal.
