Does the 4K video recording limits to 5 mins like on the G4? Or can continuously record like FHD?
I have the camplus attached to my G5. However, i realise sometimes it appear to be charging without any cable plug in. I can see the lightening symbol on the battery icon and when i lock the phone the red notifications light appear. It happen a few minutes and it stop. I am not using the camplus to control the camera app while using the phone. Is the camplus charging my phone?
I read like the battery counter do not take the additional capacity on the campus. And the campus will charge the yellow battery if it drop, thus maintaining about 100% until the campus battery is fully depleted.
In my opinion, i think the battery counter should take both batteries capacities into consideration. And the campus battery should be discharge on usage, not charging the yellow battery.
mom's G5 wide angle at MBS skypark

she was only shooting auto (and the above pic has HDR on plus honestly i tried manual on the wide angle before and it doesnt help much).
My G4 on manual (iso50, 8s shutter) for comparison

Bro, your mom pro photographer ah?
Yes, I do agree the software should also be able to track the camplus battery capacities. So it is normal for the camplus to charge the phone? Initially I thought that the camplus will not be able to charge the phone's battery. But the charging starts at different interval so I am not really sure when it will start to charge the phone, I only realise it when I see the red LED light when the screen is off.
Yes the campus internal battery will charge the yellow battery. Similar to using a portable battery but no cable attached.
no she only knows how to shoot auto. That G5 wide angle was auto with HDR on
The G4 shot was taken by me (using my own phone), not my mom. the phone was on a selfie stick attached to a compact tripod with ND filter put over the lens. The filter blocks light going in (like sunglasses), allowing the shutter speed to be set longer (beyond 2 seconds) without blowing out the light sources.

Yeah, but the g5 shot, was that you or her?![]()
it only recharges the battery when you use the camera
so if you have a camplus attached and you use the phone without taking photos, the camplus does nothing to charge your phone. Its like the camplus is "stingy" and only wants to use its 1200mAh battery purely for photo/video taking.

so another way to look at it would be This behaviour is even more undesirable... So dedicated...
G5 pic was shot by her
if it were me I'd have shot in manual since i had a tripod on hand anyway
