My G5 has just started to boot-loop. This sucks mann.

Have pulled battery, changed my battery.. still same result.

Keeps restarting at the LG Life's Good logo.....

Wow! The bootloop saga continues.. no wonder it got poor sales..

Yeah mann this sucks. I can't even hard reset. Once I clicked on "OK" to reformat, it bootloops again!

Happened to my G4 previously. My confidence in LG is at an all-time low. I hate losing stuffs like my SMSes and un-backup WA msgs and pics.

He now at Svc Ctr. Thinking of getting the Axon 7. Any thoughts?

Hi all,


Below webpage link reveals G5 uses Samsung UFS 2.1 NAND storage, which is very fast.

This may cause the battery drainage though

Can't ascertain whether it is UFS 2.1 or UFS 2.0 but seems to be 2.0 version.

Anyway quite pleased with the battery life on the G5. 17 hours standby and 6 hours of SOT at 20%.

Last LG phone was G2. Quite pleased with G5!

Nobody has bettery drain issue? I have passive drain of 40% in 7 hrs. Did factory reset twice and both times didn't fix anything.

Emailed LG but it's been 2 weeks and no solution. Just said that they would check it out.

According to some apps it's anx_wlock. It keeps my cpu at lowest level and prevents deep sleep.

there is a kernel wakelock causing cpu to never go into deep sleep. It remains at 300+MHz all the time. Name of the bugger is anx_wlock but cannot find any information about it

Anyway I got a reply from LG finally saying that nougat will fix it

Camera lens surface gets very easily scratched during light to normal use, even with silicon cover. Beware all potential buyers...
No other problems though, no boot loop no batt drain. And I like the spare batt and cam plus.
