has anyone using the camera with AWB ever observed that the G6 has abrupt white balance changes when your frame is mostly yellow or mostly blue?
i find that in both scenarios, the AWB tries to 'rebalance' the colour in a extreme manner, so if you shoot a scene that is mostly yellow for example, the white balance becomes cooler and less scene-accurate
I have here a yellow table with a black mousepad on it scene lighting is fluroescent.
Depending on how much of the mousepad is in the frame, the colour of the table really varies, when the frame is nearly occupied by the table only, the colour balance looks really cool. The one with the mousepad occupying most of the frame has the more scene-accurate colour
The reverse also happens, i.e. if you shoot a scene that is mostly blue, the more blue there is in the scene, the warmer the colour balance gets.
Of course you can force manual white balance to slide it to get it right, but it could just be yet another case of LG auto mode being inferior IMO
