Not really, G6 auto is over saturated at times and too much processing. I believe same song has changed their auto processing in S8 to be more natural. Having said that, whichever one prefers, either natural/not, is a matter of personal preference.

In fact, with LG, taking manual auto is better than just auto, if you don't know.

Every brand or even same brand but different model have its own pros and cons. Everyone also have different preference. There is no best this or that. Just buy something you like and be happy with it.

Just to be clear, I did not force any brand or model to anyone, nor force anyone to like any particular brand or model. I also did not hold a gun on anyone's head to like any brand/model, i.e., I simply answered a question by another person based on my observation and opinion.

As you mentioned, everyone has difference preferences. What I think is best, may not be best for someone else, hence one men's meat is another men's poison. I can still say which one is best based on my preference, opinion and observation.

Regarding "there is no best this or that", again is a matter of opinion and preference just like you said.

S8 vs G6 vs Pixel cam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbloTFz2LKY

I have watched it and even shared it on S8 thread. So yes, I am totally aware of his S8 stand. And yes, I agree with him.

And the person asked G6 vs S8, not Pixel/fruit or others, hence my answer was S8 auto is still better than G6, since G6 is a manual cam, not auto, even though they have improved their auto processing this time, but still not there yet.

S8 photos have a dark overcast if you look closely. Also, for the yellow flower macro shot, G6 has more details.

Notice the G6 front camera is 82 degree for normal and 100 degree for wide angle and the back camera is 71 degree for normal and 125 degree for wide angle.

Both front and back slightly lose out to the V20 of back camera is 75 degree for normal and 135 degree for wide angle , with the front camera wide angle at 120 degree.

Wonder those using V20 will feel any differences if switch over to the G6.

For the back camera of G5 vs G6, any difference in the angle ah?

G5 camera is same as V20, so the comments will apply similarly.

The 10-degree is quite a major difference, though LG intention is to reduce the fish-eye distortion, I find that the G6 still has distortion which I though is more obvious and harder to fix in post-processing.

The trick is to avoid shooting near objects at corners, that will accentuate the distortion. Shooting distant objects like scenery is less of an issue.

For the front camera it is quite noticeable.
For the rear not too much. Honestly I had no idea there was a difference until I found out later. Once you "know" that there is a difference you will definitely notice it, but without direct comparison I don't think many will see too much of a difference.
