Is LG G7 a good phone for reading e-books? I'm using G6 now. I find the phone width a bit narrow for reading. I read that G7 has a notch. What's the advantage of notch? Does it help in reading?

What are some complaints forummers have with G7? I am thinking of getting one. Would like to know what is bad about G7 before buying.

main G7 complaint is battery life, not much surprise LG hasn't really improved in battery over the years.

their camera performance IMO has also stagnated, where during 2015 with the G4 they were sort of the king of manual mode camera they have not made huge improvements in hardware and lost their edge once other companies also implemented manual mode. Even the LG G7 still used a 1/3" camera sensor which really handicap the low light capability. It wasn't until the LG V40 that they finally had a main camera with 1.4 micon pixels- something that samsung had achieved since the S7 two years ago.

Anyone thinking of buying LG G8? Is G8 still military grade and water-resistant with 2 year warranty? One reason I buy LG G series is their robustness.

I think PIE updated is slated for Q1 starting in Korea, I am waiting for the update too. I believe PIE would be available soon, but for G7 ThinQ only...

Edit - Although I have the S10+, I'm keeping the G7+ ThinQ because of its awesome HiFiQuad DAC, presently using it as my spare phone, as well as DAP.

Can anyone who bought LG G7+ reveal the price? I'm thinking of buying LG G7+ instead of LG G8. I expect G8 to be much more expensive when it's launched.

I've been buying LG phones because I want the military grade feature. Don't care about camera features.

I bought at $600 plus from Red White Mobile. They are selling now at $598.

Those using G7 may I check what security patch everyone is in. Mine is November. No updates is OK. Security patches will do, LG support says no news.
