Phone Design - Similar if not the same Design as last year G7 ThinQ with the omission of Headset Speaker but the notch is still there.

Battery - Rumours LG has increase the mAh of the G8 to around 3400 to 3500 mAh compare to G7 3000 mAh Battery Cell.

System-On-Chip - LG will be equipping its G8 ThinQ with Snapdragon 855 Processor but without 5G functionality. Don't know how that work but it's a 855 without 5G Modem I suppose.

5G or NO 5G - NO 5G, LG 5G phone announcement is reserved for the Upcoming V50 ThinQ which is going to be released on the same day as the G8 along side it.

Sound - Same ESS Quad DAC from G7 / V40,
Yes 3.5mm headphone Jack is still here,
Boombox Speaker like the G7 / V40,
DTS:X 3D Surround Sound that emulates a 7.1-channel system with or without earphones,
MQA Support &
OLED screen with Exciter to Vibrate the entire screen to create sound ( similar to Sony A1 TV) that combines with the bottom Boombox Speaker to make a 2-Channel Stereo Setup.

Cameras - Front
A Time-Of-Flight ( TOF ) Camera is to replaced one of the Dual Setup Front facing cameras & instead of 2 Cameras, now the G8 only has 1 front facing Camera.
No information about Main Front Camera yet. Probably Wide Angle Lens.

Camera - Rear
Dual Camera setup but there's nothing about its Megapixels Count or the CMOS Sensor size but probably will be a Normal & a Wide Angle Lens Combo.

RAM - Probably 4GB to 8GB LPDDR4x. RAM speculations varies with media Site.
Storage - 128GB base Model same as G7 but may come with higher Capacity model.
around March/AprilOh wow - thank you for sharing bro. I was actually reading bout LG today. Do you know when it will be available?

wah... once upon a time forum for LG phone's used to be so packed just like Samsung's now seems very quiet...
samsung just has a bigger fanbase so there's more dialogue and discussion there, even stuff like which colour phone is your favourite people will also debate
honestly LG and Samsung both arent doing any crazy new things with their G/V and Galaxy S/Note lineup now that the market is all mostly incremental changes
The hand ID thing on the G8 I feel is kind of weird and not sure what use case there are. If you're already intending to pick up the phone and look at the phone, a high-speed face unlock is the best. If we look at the history of gesture based controls, their use cases and market appeal has not been great (see how kinect fared)
Hm... I am currently using G6. Can Recontract next month. I wonder whether got any freebie like the G6 last time (free 43" 4K TV when sign up/recontract for singtel TV package).
Sent from Home using GAGT
Yes, even on the Korean model.looks like a good phone. does it have fm radio?
Very sad leh, no love for the G8
Wah cy appearedLooking at how the V40 was only released here recently, safe to say w will see g8 here when the v50 launches globally ....
Even V50 also delayed in South Korea...Looking at how the V40 was only released here recently, safe to say w will see g8 here when the v50 launches globally ....
