LG TV or Xiaomi TV?

For those who bought expensive TV... if it spoils within 4-5yrs... can just call up their service center hotline for a quote to repair... unless is the panel spoil... otherwise replacement of parts should be relatively "cheap" and fast...

Last time i called up LG tell them my TV cannot be turned on... then they say most likely is the power board spoil... just change that can liao... and give me a quote... they quoted 300+ which i find acceptable... so they came and changed it on the spot... less than 15mins job... and my LG TV continued to work for another 6-7 years... until recently the screen got problem... decided to change to 4K Oled... now using 55" LG C3...

In contrast, TCL will probably collect your TV back, say no spare parts and leave you without a TV for months. LOL

iFFALCON is something new. Saw TCL on their website. Website is clunky. Immediately reduced my trust

Depends whether u wanna spend $300 to repair or $2-3000 for a new TV… that time I think still worth repairing…

But it’s true abt the updating of OS… my old LG after a few yrs the LG App Store suddenly removed the YouTube app…

A good option. VA panel has good contrast and blacks. May not be as colorful as the Xiaomi P1 & LG though, with both having IPS panel, I believe. The Samsung has Filmmaker mode, just like the LG. I've seen the previous model, the TU7000 - sharp visuals and natural colors, though not very colorful. I don't like the P1's colors - doesn't look very natural.

I just think that TV price range below $500, like LG, Samsung and Xiaomi, Xiaomi is the cheapest among all.

Yeah. No idea how long Xiaomi last. If I have to guess, maybe not as long as a Samsung. Well, maybe you can read up the Xiaomi thread and see who bought and PM them.

AIWA 43" is just as cheap, but Xiaomi should look better coz I found the colors of the AIWA at NTUC, dull. P1 screen is very reflective though. May be better to choose something else if you have a bright room. None of these budget TVs are anywhere near as good looking as even the cheapest A1 OLED. Then again, they are also nowhere near as expensive.

Rting's review of the CU700, showed its color gamut to be just a few % off the reviewed P1 DCI-P3 color gamut, so maybe the AU7002 may not be that far off either.

Depends if TS wants a TV system on Android OS or webOS.

Actually Android TV playstore also limited a lot apps to download.

Like some apps can install on my phone but not in Mi box s.

It is not built like out android smartphone or bluestack where a lot of apps can be installed.

So it seems Android OS and webOs no difference

can install apk onto android tv but it is not direct, have to go through some other ways.

apart from that, the overall UI is also different so have to see your taste is more to android tv style or webos style.

dont buy LG, mine died exactly 3 yrs, 2 weeks after warranty.

got a cheap xiaomi, interface not user friendly but its just a TV, dont need to pay so much for it.

Looking at 4K 43 inch. Waiting for 8.8 then buy

Xiaomi TV

LG TV with voice assistant

Budget: Below $500

TCL p735 google tv.

Comes with LG magic remote control and got voice command

Xiaomi is good enough for me. Using it for 3 years+ now. No issues yet. I dont think it is very slow also.
