Facebook is really bad. Always have these kind of high battery drains on android. Wtf

After uninstalling and installing Facebook app a few times, I found out that everytime Facebook is there, my charging will not go over 20% per hour (I measured with Accubattery).

Without FB, I was able to charge 60% per hour which is normal.

So it's probably FB. Plus it uses so much processor power that it makes the phone hot. Unfortunately, it seems Android Nougat doesn't allow apps to track individual CPU usage so I can't really confirm it's FB causing the problem.

But now without FB, battery life is excellent.

Think I'll just use FB from Chrome.

No wonder I cannot see Facebook under the diagnostic list when I check the phone. Unable to see which app is sucking up the most battery is not cool at all. Maybe I will try swipe also.

Actually there is a way, just need to enable a permission flag to a batt monitoring app through adb (no root needed). I am using gsam and able to track individual app usage.

How to get full GSam stats without the root companion!

1) Connect your phone to your computer to establish an ADB session
2) Run the following command:
adb -d shell pm grant com.gsamlabs.bbm android.permission.BATTERY_STATS

NOTE: For the PRO version, change 'com.gsamlabs.bbm' to 'com.gsamlabs.bbm.pro'

3) Restart the app

You'll now have full access to the battery stats without needing the root companion app. This works on android L, M, and now N (but not KitKat).
