I'm planning to get a camera phone with wide angle for upcoming family holiday. Torn between G6 and V20. Anyone can enlighten which is better in terms of camera and battery usage (will be used mostly for pictures and videos).

Owned both device before (not same time), but forgot already how they perform. Lol

Thanks.

v20 if you want to have removable batteries for extended photo taking

g6 if you need to capture photos in the water.

Thanks for the input. Yeah leaning more in v20 because of easy to replace battery.

But in terms of camera performance, almost same? Really feeling stupid right now, owned both before but really can't remember who performed better. :s13:

If its just for social media and you don't pixel peep your photos, I think should be fine with just v20. I've been dragging along my MFT cameras for 2 trips and didn't use them at all as most of the photos are instantly uploaded to FB.

Can't comment on the external lens usage.

For manual mode, trust me it's the easiest of all. Just set it to manual, and make sure the AE-L button is not lighted in green. This mode is what the forumers called Manual-Auto (or Auto-Manual I also forgot). Otherwise, you just play around with the ISO and S buttons. Rule of thumb, ISO to be set the lower the better around 50-200. If too dark, play with S button. If S is set too low, the picture will "shake". That's where u can increase S and compensate with ISO increment by a bit. Play around with those, you should master it in no time. Don't be surprised you can take better or more engaging pics than if you use your normal cam.

Anyone got to replace their V20 on the screen ghosting/image retention issue? My warranty ending next month so just wondering if anyone get theirs to be replaced. The battery I also believe had degraded to it's half capacity so at least I want to replace the lcd thing first. heh.

This is the reply I received from LG.. most likely wont be able to replace the screen.

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for choosing LG!
We understand you inquire about LG V20.
The screen retention (previous picture remains on the screen although screen has changed) is a normal phenomenon. It is characteristic of LCD.

Note sure if anyone still browses this thread but: the V20 is selling for really cheap on Amazon US right now. Will the phone be compatible on SG's networks though?

Intending to get a secondary phone for work and the V20 seems ideal for what I'm looking for. Appreciate any input!

Hi,

My warranty was over last week but I decided to bring the phone to LG Service Center anyway and I was granted a last repair for my screen ghosting.

I think it did help that I could show the ghosting. All in all, good service by LG.

got feel any difference mah?

"Security patch for November. This includes September (Blueborne patch) and October (KRACK) patch as well."

No diff. Feels a little laggy after update when launching apps but will usually return to normal quickly. Battery still pending full day use. Warning: Downloading update was extremely slow. Took 4hrs to finish the almost 1GB file.
