launch date with out no stock.. whats the point?

for u only... not me... launch date with no stocks = pointless

Launch Date Definition #1 = the calendar date when LG starts selling the phone here

Launch Date Definition #2 = the date when I myself decide that the stocks are sufficient enough that if i wanted to buy the phone, there is much less risk of me being butthurt at seeing no stock when i reach the shop

I think most people rather stick with definition #1 cos its more technical and less subjective.

To be fair to them the G4 screwup was really very disruptive to many users who depend on their phone a lot. Can't really blame them.

Not sure how high is the general consumer's potential to 'brand-switch' after encountering a problem on their device. The main example now is the samsung Note7 and concerns about whether people are going to avoid the brand next year (honestly i doubt it)

Overall I think brand switching will still be more motivated by seeing the competitor offer something that is vastly better. And in the flagship ecosystem now, nobody is vastly better, the playing field is quite level. Plus LG is still offering unique things like quad DAC and the wide angle camera as selling points.

hope so too. It is sad if it is on single sim and i will have to hold out to v10 due to dual sim capability if this is true:(

Single SIM is for Korean variant. They used for hands on purposes only.

One of the reason People buy is because of the dual sim. Removing it is a major mistake

Hmm, point to note for those interested.
This phone is great in every single aspect, but it's relatively large.
And that for me is the Achilles heel, my 6P is already a tad too large for my liking, so i won't be getting the v20 no matter how great it is due to it's size.

Coming from a ex-Note 7 user, LG V20 is shaping up to be the ultimate contender for a Note 7 replacement.

1. It has Quad DAC which can be utilised by the Free bundled B&O IEMs. Most OEMs bundle poor earphones with the phone. http://www.whathifi.com/bo/play-h3/review

2. Versatile camera line-up. Wide front facing camera for selfies and dual cameras for wide and standard angles.

3. Top always on display panel. I prefer this to Samsung's take on their always on display. LG's take on this gives us way more power to control the phone while it is asleep.

Dual Sim is only a demand from very small group. It's not a major mistake, it's only to you and others who wants it.
Don believe just compare the amount of iPhone users to users who own dual Sim phone models.
Anyway don have then don buy lo, still got other phones~
