I just bought GTX 970 and 600W power supply from lazada. Now, my Acer G3620 Mobo (Window 7 no secure boot option) did not support GTX 970.

Im trying to change my MoBo to something that can support GTX 970. Not something fancy as i plan to upgrade to LGA1150 next few years.

So, suggested by some user here that B75M MoBo is good enough. Went to Sim Lim and mostly B75M cost around S$100.

As i check online, newegg ASRock B75 PRO3-M LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard cost only S$82.

So the question is here is the MoBo good enough? or any other recommendation MoBo below S$100? :s22:

The average price for a B75m is around $100.

Newegg no local warranty. If mobo spoil within the warranty period, you must personally mail back to respective overseas company which incur mailing fee and might take monthsssss to receive a replacement.

By the way, Tradepac selling Asrock B75m-dgs @ $89.

You are focusing too much on the brand which many newbie PC builder did the same at first. You will understand why when you have more experience. Only focus on the brand when buying PSU.

Motherboard doesn't affect your gaming performance.

A $500 motherboard perform on par with a $100 motherboard, don't invest too much money on it. Buy the motherboard which provides the features that you NEED.

Some of the H61 mobo has PCIE2.0 x16 compared to a B75 mobo with PCIE3.0 x16. If you do some research, it doesn't affect your gaming performance even when PCIE3.0 x16 provides more bandwidth than PCIE2.0 x16.

However, do note that the H61 chipset does not have front panel USB 3.0 support which is the reason why a B75 motherboard was suggested in the first place. If you do not mind not having USB 3.0 support, then get a H61 motherboard.

Thanks alternative. you always did a good job in explaining. G3620 have front panel USB 3.0 so i will be getting Asrock B75m today at SLS.
