lightning adaptor dont work on some micro usb cables

recently i bought two lightning charging adapters to use with my micro usb cables.

i realize that the lightning adapters only work on certain micro-usb cables.

i have tried and tested on a few cables and all are working fine.

any expert advice on why some cables do not work with my adapters?
