The canonical ones have software updates so it's much better now. Ubuntu is a good choice for those want something more straightforwardLinux is all well and good until something go wrong and u got to use the command line to fix. You will find certain instructions on the internet to cut and paste, then it will return error and you won't noe what succeeded or which part failed and what the current state of your Linus system is in. Eventually ish end up doing wipe and reinstall again. Easiest Linux I used dat didn't have dis issue was the one on Asus' Eee PC. It really worked well. U can experiment on the various flavours of Linux on your current PC using Virtual Machines. Windows itself already comes with one.
yes. this is the kind of feedback I'm looking for....such annoyance.I also googled best Linux version always mint comes out at the top
But when using, I always encounter two annoying problems:
1) dual booting between Linux mint and Windows, the system clock will always be inaccurate (different by one day or so)
2) the Linux mint sound driver has this annoying click (driver initialization) whenever a sound is played. After a while, it gets on your nerves
The above two issues prevent me from switching to Linux mint permanently. I rather use Windows 10 without updates
Oh, if you install dual boot mode, sometimes Windows update will wipe the dual boot system files. Ended up have to reinstall Linux mint again. Annoying. Happens a few times.
windows like to overwrite MBR of its partition upon boot... so either use different partition for each OS or you need apply some kinda registry fix to stop windows doing this or use a GPT partition instead...yes. this is the kind of feedback I'm looking for....such annoyance.
for point 2 i read abt it...something like both win and linux system partition cannot be the same, win have a tendency to wipe the system partition for its windows update
YouTube got how to install win11 on old pc. I tried before and it's okmine i5-7500 confirm not in supported list de...i check many time liao
