Hope for China tech etf revival

gov coming in to assist n those stocks r actually quite profitable.

China investors r all quite sensitive to their gov policies.

as soon as they regain confidence, this etf will rise rapidly.

So close yet so far ..... Traded above 0.82 two days in a row but closed lower. I've sold most of my holdings over the last few sessions. Will buy back on a dip or a clear breakout.

Someone who is stuck with a large holding can look at selling 10-20% at the current level with the intention to buy back the same at 6-10% lower (say mid 70s). One of the most liquid and volatile ETFs to be listed on SGX.

I'm stuck at 1.30s for avg price. Thinking to cut loss when reach 1. What you guys think?
We had a breakout above 0.82 and a continuation rally upto 0.87s. So the 5c range is defined. If you are able to capture 3.5-4c within this range it’s about 5% while brokerage should be less than 0.5% (both buy and sell together).

Since you are long around 1.3s, it should be sell on rally closer to 0.87 and buy back on dip closer to 0.83. Again not with 100% of your holdings but only 10-20%. Every successful trade will help to bring down your avg towards 1 and once you get into the groove you’d realize it was so easy to do this in a disciplined manner and you may try to check for similar opportunities on your other holdings as well. All the Best.

That's the tradeoff one has to make ... either keep hoping that the price goes back to their desired level or act in a disciplined manner to crawl out of the hole.

This plan definitely works for someone with more than 20K shares of HST.
