Liquid Cooler risk?

how many years can it work?

Don’t buy cheapskate brand, try to get branded AIO will solve the long term issue.

when you purchase liquid cooler, does not matter if it's branded or not branded. test the unit first before you mount it. check to see if there are leakage or not first. then while using it. do not leave your PC unattended for long period of time, unless go short toilet breaks.. I normally will check for liquid traces before operating (turn on) my PC. it became a habit for me to do so everytime I turn on my PC.

as for how long did my Arctic liquid freezer II 280 last.. since year 2019 Dec till now, I am still using it. so far so good. I even did a vid to compare the new liquid AIO (Bequiet Silent Loop 2). also I have taken out to clean the radiators every 8 months. still going strong. I might change to another AIO for my next build. waiting for Raptor Lake or AMD which is after Zen 4.

Really depend on your usage and whether do you turn off the PC once a while.
Cuz if you run the PC 24/7 non-stop without turning off the life span of the AIO
will be shorter.

If you want a CPU cooler that don't have so much risk than just get air-cooler.

As I mentioned before in your other thread, these are the risk of using AIO water cooler as compared to air cooling. There is always a chance of leakage, but AIO water coolers are mostly better now and so this risk is lower. Liquid evaporation will always happen throughout the lifetime of the cooler, but good coolers tend to use better material for their tubing, which will slow down this drying up process, and could take many years before you run into problems. Pump failure, this is hard to tell. But with Arctic offering a solid 6years warranty on their AIO cooler, at least you can still send faulty AIO coolers from them back for repair.

If you are very concerned or disturbed by these, you should just go straight for a good air cooler. Depending on your budget, a good budget air cooler will be the Scythe Fuma 2. If you are ok to spend around150 bucks on the highest end air cooler, you can consider the Noctua NH-D15 or the Deepcool Assassin III.

Corsair has a 7-year warranty. I'm using the Corsair H60 AIO and this was carried over from a Haswell system. More than 5 years. I actually have two spare Corsair AIOs as backup including a new H80i but the H60 just keep chugging along.

I believe they don’t come with LGA 1700 mounting kit by default at this point. So you will need to request for the mounting kit separately from the distributor or from Scythe. It should be free.

my legacy cooler master 240 AIO using on my i5-3570k still going strong.after 7 years i think

Still overclock to 4Ghz i think

but i got another brand for my current unit using ryzen 2600 the 240 aio fail less than 2 years...rma liao.

It depend Heng suay one. Especially for hw install noob like me that get shop dude to assemble for me. i am out of home 15 hours almost everyday. On my rest day I don’t want deal with troubleshootin.

Btw I read about the current or latest mobo they do come with lga1200 and lga1700 hole. Does this mean air cooler without 1700 could mount in too?

Altho the temp is not as good as before, it still wont overheat
But i dun game now so i duno the temp when under stress tho
No leakage at all

No, it's not only loud but the fan can wear out easily.
Let the motherboard control the fan speed according to the CPU temperature.
If you feel the temp not good than adjust fan curve or for ASUS motherboard
use the Q-Tuning let the mobo adjust and tune the fan properties.

AIO dont run full blast 24/7, dont sotplug.

Just curious why you would like to set the cooler to work at 100% all the time? If it is because you saw the reviews mentioning about the grinding noise at a certain RPM, I can confirm I don't experience this issue with at least 3 Arctic Liquid Freezer II units that I have tested. If it is because you want it to run cooler, then you should just let the system manage the speed of the pump and fan based on the load as the processor. If the processor it not running hot, running it at full speed all the time will only drop it to as low as the room temp, since the liquid will also be at/ close to room temp if there is no or little heat. So you won't expect to see the CPU at 24 degrees Celsius when your room ambient temp is 29 degrees celsius for example.

If there is no issue with auto, then leave it be. Running it at 100% may reap little benefits over default settings, and instead, cause issues since it will wear out the fan motor and water pump faster. Unfortunately, most products are not meant to work at 100% or anywhere close, for prolong period of time. You can do that for some time, but it will surely have a negative impact on the longevity/ durability of the product in the longer run.
