Sad to say, mostly it is true. They are identified as talented people, Singapore ( the tiny dot on the map) need those people for its future prosperous to compete with others.
This policy is not wrong, no matter what Party becomes ruling party, and they will adopt this policy.
Ordinary people like most Singaporean (you and me) sure will suffer.

I'm not sure whether the guy in the carforum is saying the truth, but from what i heard ard me, yes, they are going all out to invite students to study here. At least thats what i heard and experienced during my uni. I will have prc frens telling me that my garment is stoopid enough to let them swarm in..

i tried to google the good things pap has done for sg. saw a few results on pap smear tests but chanced upon this interesting hwz thread dated in 2011. i guess this thread was created for the last ge. i believe the list below shows 20+ issues that happened before 2011. what's shocking is that more than 80% of the critical issues are still existent today (in bold), and its already 2015! what have they been doing for the 10 years????

3)Record high Housing, COE, Foreigners, Inflation,Utilities
4)Depressed Wages
5)Overcrowding of Public Transport Housing
6)overspending of YOG and still give rotten food
7)Extra long waiting for BTO flat
8)Children have to ballot with foreigners for a place to study
9)Record Loss in temasek investments
10)Social problems arise from casino
11)6 in 10 jobs goes to foreigners
12)Offering bursary to Foreigners thus deny singaporeans a place
13)Hospital beds have yet increased much for last 10 years
14)Ministers and president enjoy millions and bonuses while singaporeans still suffering.

16)CPF withdrawal delayed from 62 to 65

Why not make a list for WP to be fair?
Rate if the co-pilot do his job well and guide his team efficiently.
