Thinking of bringing a touch light that uses 1 18650 battery. Will there be any issue at the China custom on the way home, since it is a lithium battery?

You can try.....put inside your check in luggage.
I got a small powerbank in my check in luggage. They asked me to remove n bring up plane via hand luggage. Subjected to security check too.

Strange thing is I also have a laptop n tablet inside my check-in luggage.
But they didnt say anything.

So I guess is heng suay.

The regulation about lithium batteries is usually relevant to laptop batteries. Yours only carries 3400Wh or so.
