Hey, I'm the same age as u because I was from the normal stream. Currently in my last year of poly and enlisting this year.

Uni lasts for 4 years usually (3 years for NBS). U should complete everything by 27 and found a job in ur last year of uni to save some time. If u save really hard for the first two years of work u should marry by 29. It also depends on what type of marriage u want.

If u were to add in down payment for a hdb I would think that you'll need to borrow some money from the bank..

Just my 2 cents

If you are talking about lack of finances, the government has a 90% Tuition Fee Loan and you can get loans from the school also. As for getting a hdb, you can just apply first during uni.
There are not many people who start uni at 23, but it definitely can be done with enough drive and motivation.

Lol. It's not too late. Nowadays people live to 90. Our generation will live for much longer. What's a few more years studying? Eventually with a degree you will earn much more on average than your degree-less peers.

You worry too much about your age.
Universities have a different demographics, you will definitely find people of your status.
When are you aiming to get married and start family? Even if you get married, is there a law that say you cannot upgrade yourself, after you get married? No?
- If your loved ones object to you getting upgraded, then you have to reconsider whether they are your true family who cares about you and your future. Or perhaps they may be short sighted, you need to convince them.

If you get into uni, you might even meet your future partner whom may have similar interest as you. And since she will also be a university graduate, you won't have to worry about your future expenses, both of you have the capabilities to bring the family up. :s22:

What I can say is that u are not really that old yet. Even there are ppl ard their 30s or 40s still going back to school for education and upgrading themselves. U are still considered young as this age to pursue uni studies. It's good as next time u will earn a stable income and also can provide more for your family and partner. As for me, I still haven't met the right person yet. So well congratulations to u man. Good luck for your future endeavours. Just my 2 cents worth and hope this helps :)

If not at 23, then when, 33? 43? 53 maybe?

:s8::s8::s8:

I have seen middle-aged guys, juggling a job, studies AND a family. What's YOUR excuse???
