He is not rich for sure. Father was a salesman and mother a school teacher at Haig Boys. Went to TK tech then VJ I think. About as working class sinkie as it gets.
Teacher considered above average Liao for that gen. Many others in that gen can’t write anything other than their name

Leong Mun Wai asks who will be paying for the supposed GST revenue if the Govt claims that the middle income and low income will be covered by handouts.

LW did not answer his question.

Hold on a sec.
From the graf in the 4th pager, https://www.singstat.gov.sg/-/media/files/publications/households/pp-s27.pdf

It show bottom 30% hab some of the highest decline in household income over the past year tio boh?
And over the past 5 year the increase of household income in bottom 30% ish the slowest tio boh?
Except for the highest of the high income group.

Sho even when the bottom 30% effectively didn't pay any increase in gst, when considering the increase in income of the upper income groups ish sho much more, it ish still machiam regressive still tio boh? If notch nao, then in future if the current income trends continue, tio boh?

Sumbuddy prease sexplain to me?
