Mr Jumabhoy also points out that she had earlier told the court that Singh was nodding his head during their conversation, but now changed it to say he had been “shaking his head”.

She clarifies that he was shaking his head, not nodding.
He continues to press her about the different answer she gave during the Committee of Privileges hearing regarding her recollection of the meeting.

During her questioning by Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong, Ms Loh said that though they did not talk about the matter explicitly at the meeting, Singh’s acknowledgement of the issue suggested to her that he knew of Ms Khan’s lie.

The judge interjects: “The question that was asked at the COP is not the same question you are asking now. Then how can you ask if there’s a different answer?
“Your point seems to be asking why are you giving a different answer but if you’re asking a different question, I don’t know what else you can expect.”

I think he has the money but DS is reserved only for PAP so I don't think he will have taken up this case even though it's a sure-win for him. Anyways I'm sure taking on this trial would have made him very happy because he LOVES to cross-examine and destroy witnesses in court

LTK's turn not up. He is called for by the prosecution as a witness. He did not volunteer himself to attack PS. Thats how things work. AFAIK, you cannot refuse to be called upon as a witness.

Prosecution also said they're not seeking a jail term but a fine.

Loh Pei Ying can’t remember if Raeesah had shared Pritam’s e-mail on parliamentary protocol with her

Mr Andre Jumabhoy brings up an e-mail that Pritam Singh had sent to all sitting WP MPs on Oct 1, 2021, about parliamentary protocol

In the e-mail, Singh had stressed the importance of backing up and defending what they said in Parliament, or risk being hauled up before the Committee of Privileges (COP).

Singh’s lawyer asks Ms Loh if she was aware of the e-mail.

She says that Ms Khan had shared with her that Singh had circulated an e-mail. But she could not recall if the e-mail itself had been shared with her.

Mr Jumabhoy presses her on what medium - e-mail or text - she had received the knowledge of the e-mail via.

“If it was shared, it would have been by text,” she says.

When pressed further on when she received the text, Ms Loh says she cannot recall.

He then asks if Ms Khan had mentioned anything to her about the risks of being hauled up to the COP, Ms Loh says once again that she cannot recall the messages, and that “it’s been a while”.
