Because the baldy insisted on getting him to help with teams who low blocked. Now paid 135 million if dont use make himself look malu. Someone on youtube said Slot wanted to move away from the heavy metal football and focus on technical football. He wanted to unlock teams with precision instead of using teamwork and hardwork. Problem is he doesnt know how to do it. He doesnt know what tactics to play so that they can utilize the technical abilities of the players. Isak not getting any service. Hes not going to work as hard as Bobby or Darwin to get the ball or press the opponent for the ball. Coincidentally, the striker who is playing well is the player who runs around and presses like Darwin, the player Slot didnt want but only relented when he thought he couldn't get Isak.

Slot really got an uphill task now. Tactical slow build up football doesn't suit us at all. We've always been underdogs punching above our weight convinced we can pull out miracle after miracle win which we did. That's was always us. We need some of that magic back. To be fair, i think under the new setup the scouting team and Richard Hughes was the one to identify the players needed and secure the transfer so not Slot that told them he specifically want Wirtz, Isak etc.

Slot as coach just handles the football side of things (training, tactics, player selection etc).

Based on the transfer stories, Wirtz chose us largely because of how slot plans to play him (thru the conversation they had).
But from what we see this season so far, slot doesn’t know where to play him best.

Then he should not be the manager as his style of football isn't working. He seems like a system manager that has a set style of play while Klopp has a mentality style. Although Klopp initially had no plan B, he adapted and changed the way TAA played to suit the team. He was able to get the best out of the fringe players too by allowing them to play to their strengths.

Slot on the other hand needs the players to play to his style even though its to their weaknesses, like Kerkez and Frimpong. He hasnt figured out how to use Wirtz and Isak. Ekitike is the only one who playing well coincidentally also the only one not playing his style and the one he doesnt rate.

Klopp put together a team of misfits and beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final. That team can easily beat the strongest team put out by Slot now. Why? Because the current Slot team doesn't even have the strategy and style of playing.

As you had mentioned, Klopp initially had no plan B, but he adapted and change the way TAA plays.
That’s the same hope I have for Slot, to adapt and change his style of play for the team.
And get Hetinga back, I still believe we did not win by flunk when he was part of the coaching team. Maybe he can whack some sense back into VVD and Konate
