Is the above webcam at approximately $100 worth the value compare to less known brand of less than $50 with same 1080P?

No experience with that model, but generally good experience with other Logitech products, in that you don’t see driver problems. Like for example after the computer sleeps then wakes, does the USB device still work properly. You’ll have to google to see if it’s an issue for your lesser known brand.

I have a Logitech C270(720P) be using few year and now my son is using. Recently bought a 1080P webcam for $20 at Taobao and received today. Plug and play as no need to install any driver to test and was very clear. If you want buy with the brand and local warranty and ok with the price, then it is ok. Otherwise I feel can get cheaper one as it serve the purpose.
