LoL is easier than Dota
Dota if u wanna mix well and have things to talk about with those in their 20s.
LoL if u wanna make friends with females, or make friends with those 14-early 20s.

Dota if you want to play without restrictions to the character.
LoL if you want to play with restrictions.

LoL if you want to play with lesser waiting time (larger population compared to Dota)
Dota if you want to meet more pinoys.

I play Dota with my friends of around the same age (+-2 years)
I play LoL with my gf lol.

Just play whatever you like. LoL is pay to win and lower learning curve. Dota is harder to play and games are longer. Regardless of what anyone says, both community is toxic as ****. I rather you start with Dota as LoL got a lot of champions/heroes to buy and can take very long to buy with either in game money or IRL money. + runes you sure pok kai while dota everything is free besides the skins. I play LoL for almost 4 years and finally unlock all the heroes. Shag game

The truth is right, just play whatever your friends are playing. It makes playing any game so much more fun. I rather be a noob in LoL but play with 4 friends than be high MMR on Doto and play alone.
