Hi friends,

My 8 years old Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers just went to heaven. Anybody can recommend a good replacement? I'm not fussy on sound, I just use it when I'm not wearing headphones for gaming, just for youtube and watching movies.

Budget is maybe $100.

Thanks!

Considering the response rate, maybe should have put the 2.0/2.1 consolidated thread at here instead of Home Theatre forum

Looks good, thanks! Do you know when the sale ends? I wanna see if I can fix my uplorry-ed speakers first.

Btw this does not look like it has a remote or knob to adjust the volume directly on the speaker, am I right?

Nvm, just saw the knob on the right side of the speaker :s13:

ATP3 or the rubbishes that AL released after that period?

Earlier speakers with simpler circuits tend to be simpler to repair (yet also last longer)

If I were still a student I would have bought the below. But sadly I'm not a student anymore.

I'm actually selling my mint condition Corsair SP2500 due to my new born. PM me if you're interested. It's one of the best 2.1 setups you can get.
