not sure should i go for 27/30inch screen or 27inch 144hz screen? or should i get a UltraWide 34inch?

for UltraWide just worry about the video may not get used to it.

budget 1.2k+ -

my usage is 20% gaming the rest 80%video/suft net

i have shortlisted this few screen with durability as one of the main priority

144hz screen:

the only few 144hz lcd i found with ips panel with 2560x1440

acer Predator XB271HU (not sure how durable acer )

Asus MG279Q

27/30inch

Samsung S32D850T

dell UP2716D

or U3014 30-inch if the price drop a lot during pc show

since you game only 20%, no point getting 144hz screen

Can consider Dell S2716DG if you die die want 144hz

End of day still up to you to decide which monitor you like and can go sim lim walk walk to see the ultrawide screen, see if you like it

There is a Philips 4K model, it has super high contrast tested which will suits your gaming and movie needs. It is 16:9 format and not ultrawide, so surfing net will have more vertical reading space. Watching videos will be a more natural aspect ratio than ultra-wide.

The warranty support may not be as good as Dell next biz day replacement but is much cheaper.

The question about ultra-wides is the low viewing height, take the latest Dell 3415, it is at 34" sounds much larger than your currently used 2309, but the ultra-wide only gives you 5cm of additional height over the 23". The extra length is great for immersive gaming. You have to decide if you can live with the low height for your internet surfing.

Does your 'video viewing" consist much of movie in their native 21:9? If just for regular 16:9 Full HD footages then ultra-wide won't be that necessarily isn't it?

The reason i pick 29 inch ( No $$ buy 34) because my desk is just beside my bed so after surfing or game i can lay down my bed and watch movie . If u always sit infront ur pc i didnt see the need for ultra big /wide screen
