Looking for desktop /laptop recommendation

Hi guys

I’m looking for a desktop/laptop that allows me to do work stuffs, light gaming and view and edit photos/music etc. SSD and discrete graphic card would be a must. Was more inclined towards laptops initially , but the more popular models are speedy but lacks the graphic card to support gaming. So far I have looked mainly at dell, HP and Lenovo. Would desktop then be a better option ? If so are there any recommended models ...? Was looking at the dell XPS 8930 tower. Is it good and worth it to get at the price of 1899 (exclude price of monitor) . Initial listing price is 2299 on the dell page . Or I should wait for PC show The model I’m looking at

If buying branded prebuild try to haggle for free year 2&3 warranty.

Ts, make it very simple for you, if your machine is not going to move, get a desktop.

If you going to bring this machine out if this country or really needs to move constantly due to your work, get a laptop. Capiche?

Next, we need to know what type of light games. Minesweeper level or e-sports level(dota 2, lol, overwatch)? What's your total budget as well.

I had a similar requirement for a laptop and after much searching, went with aftershock prime 15 because the new laptops from Asus were not in.

Do take note that if you are going for laptops for photo editing, check that the screen has good colour reproduction. Don't think there are any real 100% SRGB screens but some have at least 90% ones.

Hi thanks for replying ...Most likely should be using at home only .. Intending to play games like fortnite, l4d2, the sims etc. Budget would be less than 2.5 k inclusive of monitor etc.
