Looking For DV

Planning to get a DV mainly for travel use in the next few months. Anybody got recommendations on a few models which I can consider getting?

i think nowadays, it makes more sense to get a DSLR w video function rather then a camcorder for travel. Lighter and less equipments to carry.

Personally, I would look at the Panasonic GH2 because the camera can be hack to record really good video, it's M43 mount, so it can take quite a lot of lenses with appropriate adapters. And the body is not too big either for travel and not too expensive.

But maybe the newer Samsung mirrorless camera might worth take a look, not too knowledgeable about those.
