Hey guys I'm currently in a JC and I'm thinking of a PC that will allow me to play games like Blackshot, LoL around high settings. Budget will be around $1k and i will be using it for about 4 years. It will also be used to do my projects and some basic web surfing. Any recommendations for some value-for-money PC with a decent graphic card? Thanks anyway. :D

Well, the fastest and most cost effective in my opinion is the Lenovo Y510p GT 755M SLI I5 (gaminglaptopsjunky.com/lenovo-ideapad-y510p-15-6-gaming-laptop-gt-755m-sli-i5-4200m-6gb-ddr3-matte-1080p-display-intel-7260-wifi-card-1tb-sshd). This is the new variant and you'll get:

- GT 755M SLI. In most games, including 3D demanding ones, you'll get higher gaming performance than the GTX 770M, sometimes by a significant margin. You won't get a better performance level up to $1400-$1500 laptops (GTX 780M)

- I5-4200M. It is sufficient for gaming and you wont see any considerable advantage by going with an I7. Also, it produces less heat, which results in less throttling

- 6GB DDR3. This is enough for gaming, but anyway, you can add more later on

- nice 1080p display

- very good sound system. Really, it is probably the best currently

- 1TB SSHD (HDD + small amount of SSD)

- good looks (?)

-3-4 hours of battery under light use

If you are looking for a gamer laptop, this is the one

Not sure if you checked. This thing is way above the 1k budget he has. if ts is willing to go to msia and do some bargaining, it might be possible to get a y410p with i7/gt755m in his budget.
