spent $400 for painting the whole house,

RM800 for paint, $42 for lunch over 2 weekends.
$25 as referral fee.

not bad, they did a good job, i give them 9/10 rating :s13:

3 men team, door frames to sealer, along with 2 coating of paint.
just provide them the plastic covers and they will do everything for you.
1st sunday, they even vacuum for me..
but the 2nd, as they came late, we got to do the cleaning up :(
hence i also pay lesser as sort of deduction

all in all, less than $800 as compare to SG packages.

I did my own painting for my friend.

If you just want to apply a coat of paint over existing walls. Maybe bangla is good enough.

If you intend to paint other surfaces like door, gate, metal, plastic, pvc, toilet or kitchen ceilings, etc.

It's not so simple. It's not as simple as applying undercoat will do. Some surfaces don't stick no matter how many coats you apply. Meaning the paint will be easily scraped off.

Some surfaces have to be treated like degreased, mould removed, etc.

Those bangla or cheap carousel painters should be just anyhow whack the cheapest paint up without much consideration. :o

not sure, you can check with their agent :s13:

but do note that they are only available on sunday.
since they are a 3 man team, experienced, within 2 weekends should be suffice.
yours is a brand new unit, invest in a good sealer and paints.
you will thank me as time goes by.

Looks good. 5 room flat?

nope, only 4 room..
2 pax only.. after painting, the whole house seems bigger than before :o

can't wait for the paint to settle and upload the paintings.

Bro mine is not a brand new unit, a 4 room resales also. haha

i see, then moreover, you should invest in a good sealer before the paint.

good sealer + 2 layer of paint coating.
will easily last you for many good years.

For new BTO like me, invest in some waterproof/weather paint as the area like master bedroom, right after the toilet.
the moist level are high despite having a door closer.

The moist will lead to many known issues like fungus, ceiling staining etc..

hire nippon paint come do will be ex?

it really bottom down to what you are looking at.

paints come in many grades, the basic is nippon 5000.
if you are staying in the unit, i strongly recommend you to invest in something better.

those 3 in 1, easy wash, are really really good.

as usual, cheap things dont come good.
to resolve this, i find my own labour, getting my own paints instead.

Depends on ur colour schemes. Pls state the colour scheme then we can help u roughly gauge how much u need.
