Looking for laptop as desktop replacement

Hi,

I'm in the midst of planning to change my 3-yr-old i7 laptop.

So far, my target (below $1300):-
Aftershock M15 Lite

May I know if there's any other laptop brand that have similar specs and budget as the above?

Just trying not to limit my options.

My primary use is Photo-Editing with ACDsee.
I do play games occasionally like GW2, Diablo3.

What's wrong with your current i7 laptop?

Are you already using SSD?

If not, suggest you change to SSD instead of getting a new laptop.

A 3 year old i7 is still very capable with a SSD.

Currently this laptop is running HDD. And it's faulty with cracked screen.
Was still thinking if I should repair or just buy new one. THe repair and upgrade to SSD cost is pretty much like 1/3 of the new laptop i believe.
