Looking for recommendations on good MagSafe compatible iphone holders for my car, which are secure during driving.

I'm currently using a MagSafe Compatible Case with my Iphone.

Thanks.

I finally got my Magsafe charger all set up for my car.

Sharing with anyone who is thinking of getting one too for their car.

My List of equipment:
1. Iphone 15 Pro Max 1TB on IOS 17.0.3

2. Nomad MagSafe Compatible Phone Case

3. Mazer MagStand One
-> Desktop version with Magsafe 15W charging for your iphone.
-> There's a foldable version which I did not purchase. This is because I did not want to risk having the charger collapse on itself, when driving over rough terrain and speed bumps.
-> This works for cars because it does not require a wall power adapter to operate, you just need to connect a USB C charging cable to it.
-> Max Output is 23W. 15W for Iphone (Magsafe) + 5W for Airpods + 3W for Apple Watch
-> The Charger magnets are very strong and my Iphone won't drop off, when going over speed bumps or winding roads at high speed along the PIE.

4. Ugreen 100W USB C PD cable

5. Baseus 4 Port 120W USB C Car Charger
-> This has 4 ports. 2 USB C ports and 2 USB A ports.
-> Each Port is capable of 30W power output each.

6. 3M VHB Tape
The charger base is flat so you can use 3M VHB Double Sided Tape to secure it to the dashboard of your car.

ALTERNATIVES

PeakDesign Car Mount:

This should also work but was rejected due to cost considerations.

I did not purchase this because the mount ( non-charging version) costs a whopping SGD $70!!!
You are basically paying $70 for a bunch of magnets and a little car mount.

The same $70 can be used to purchase the Mazer charger that I mentioned above.

If you want charging function for the Peak Design, it will cost you SGD $120.

EDITED: Please see Post below for the Max Charging Wattage Tested for this Mazer Charger.

Nice set-up and thanks for sharing.
Is your dashboard flat or sloping away from you?
Cos most dashboards are sloping towards driver, so worried that the phone plus mount will be “too heavy” and topple when braking or turning.

I used the Quadlock with adhesive stand previously and it gave way after a year later due to parking in the open. Recently, I switched to the Quadlock aircon vent with MagSafe. Thought I would have to sacrifice the entire aircon vent but the MagSafe has the flexibility to be swiveled to the sides, so the entire air con vent would not be block by the phone.

My dashboard is relatively flat but with a slight slope .

The 3M VHB Industrial tape should work in most cases.

This video shows how tough it is.

Try 3M VHB tape .

It is resistant to heat.

I have attached other items to my dashboard using this tape for over a year .

I don’t like to stick things to my air con vent and block the cold air .
