Mobo : Asus P6T SE
MOBO Link: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T_SE/HelpDesk_CPU/
GFX ATI Radeon 270 or 280
Rams : 6GB triple Memory - OCZ
CPU : i7 920

My this desktop was built in 2009, running 6GB triple memory and i7 920

I was thinking of upgrading the rams to 12GB, found the additional RAMs on Ebay at 45USD, same brand

CPU wise, im looking to upgrade to i7 970. - but not sure where to find?

Do you guys think its worthwhile the money?

to me if your PC still can handle the task u doing den can continue using and upgrade a few parts, afterall new hardware are still in the high side (even though its coming down slowly...)

CPU wise u can go look at carousel see if anyone selling similar socket.

Seems pointless to me to do such an incremental upgrade. The performance difference is not worth the cost. It would make more sense to do a new rig.

Not worth the hassle and shipment and cost. Build a new one can outperform it anytime with minimum 8gb ram anyway.
