Hi guys,

I need a new laptop but I'm not comfortable with using windows 8.

Are there any laptops available that run on windows 7. What about those in the pc show?

How much would a 14 inch i7 cost? Not looking for bells and whistles.

Thanks

think he's referring to the OS, not laptop.

for win7 laptops, can try thinkpads in marketplace forum or gaming laptop like Aftershock which customise for u. Refurbished sets from PC Dreams too.

Windows 8.1 + classic shell software should give you stability n windows 7 user interface. New laptop with windows 7 are extremely rare, unless you install it yourself.

You can also look for business models such as Lenovo thinkpads, Dell Latitudes and HP elitebooks. These business models officially support Win 7. We have some clearing as cheap as $1000 region now (with 2 years warranty). :)

w7 should be able to be installed on any laptop, old or brand new

the supposedly necessary drivers (mobo, chipset, iastor) dont really need to install at all

only particular drivers such as intel built-in graphics, sd card, LAN, bluetooth, will need to go find it, and even then, either generic or proprietary ones will work.

Many laptops will not accept generic or proprietary driver. Especially those power management driver.
