Looking to upgrade, do advise!

Hi everybody, due to the sales happening now I'm interested in upgrading my current rig

Casing: Eclipse P400
Mainboard: asus b85m-g
CPU: Intel i5-4570
PSU: Seasonix 650 X gold
Ram: Corsair Vengence 2x4GB ddr3
Graphic: Gigabyte R9 280x
SSD: Intel 128Gb ssd
Cooling : cooler master poseidon 120m

Mainly looking to upgrade the 280x to 1070/1070ti. Will my current setup have any issues running it? I'm using a 1080p 60hz monitor but def changing to a 1080p 144hz soon. Games I mainly play are ff14 and overwatch. Do advise!

so getting all the parts from amazon prime now is cheaper than go SimLim?

I intend to build a mining-cum-trading rig.

I trade and do web surfing and watch youtube most of the time with 3 monitors.
So an i5 processor is good enough.

Will use the integrated intel graphic chip to output to a monitor and buy another 2 GTX 1060 to output to the other 2 monitors.


The 2 GTX 1060 will be used to mine crypto during the spare time when i am not using the computer for trading.


So any suggestion for a complete setup that is good value for money.


I am open to a AMD Vega56 setup too

EVGA has international warranty. Servicing is in Taiwan.
Prime Now sells SG products. So all comes with Warranty. I don't see many other GPUs on Amazon Prime Now.

You should create a new thread for better visibility. Prime Now is Singapore version. Not much selection of PC parts. Some parts cheaper on Prime Now.

how much cheaper are we talking about
if I buy a GTX1080 asus/acer setup versus DIY one?

I am lazy to do research... my whole purpose is to get a cheap PC for my mining-trading purpose..

so if got website with the parts described, i will just go out and buy ..

I calculated the DIY cost for a single GTX1070 build vs off the shelf solution.

It's only cheaper by $100 or 200...

I think I will just buy off the shelf and add in another GTX1070 :0

You can't just "add in another GTX1070"

You have to consider the power requirement. You have to consider case compatibility.

Most off-the-shelf PCs from Dell/Acer are made to spec. Their PSU is just enough for the configured system. Cases are also made for just one GPU, motherboards sometimes too. No extra PCIe slot for SLI. Maybe the chipset doesn't even support SLI.

If you assemble yourself, you can configure the parts as needed, PSU with enough power and enough cables to run SLI, enough case space and motherboard that supports SLI.
