Gigabyte Aorus B550M Elite + R5 3500 - $391
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz CL16 - $155
Seasonic Core-GX 650 watt - $135

$700 is a bit tight, the RAM forgo RGB save a bit of money as well as PSU get
Seasonic Core-GX 650 is lower than Focus but will do fine for your build.
I am using one for a old Intel i5 rig so far no issue with Core GX650.

But again this is just for reference.

Do take note of stock issue of popular PSU brand as well as RMA location.
Both Seasonic and Corsair are reliable, as mention that I am only providing example.
GTX1650 PSU 550 watt is more than enough but do remember to RMA/Service
since your PC blown.

Buying on Caurosell do take note:

- Do remember to obtain invoice/receipt for warranty claim.
Some do not issue invoice/receipt.
- Make sure the item have local warranty sticker.
An example the motherboard, Gigaybyte distributor sticker.

Caurosell prices may look cheap but some either sell imported goods or where the stock come from
no one knows.
If you want budget upgrade, I still recommend you buy from Sim Lim Square.

Especially what if the seller MIA or uncontactable which does happened than how?
At least when you buy from shop, any issue within 7 days can go back and change.
Caurosell seller wise any issue after purchase, most will ask you go distributor but
provided got receipt.

Hmm, if you don't mind intel side, which has switched sides to become budget build choice, can consider:

Intel 10400F/11400F + Gigabyte b560m aorus pro = 415/443 (From sls price list)
Crucial Ballistix 2x8Gb CL16 3200Mhz/3600Mhz = 120/128 (Amazon, US stock) , 131/141 (Lazada, after coupon)

Leave around 116-165sgd for ur psu. Should be enough. Some brands I can recommmend is corsair RM series /superflower leadex III (my personal fav for price efficiency) / seasonic focus gold.

I listed some choice for u depending if you want to meet budget or price efficiency, might need to exceed 700 by abit if you want price efficiency. You can go youtube watch benchmarks for 11400f/10400f, performance is near 5600x and better than 3600.

So today feeling bo liao, I went ahead and open up the psu and see what wrong.

In the following picture, it seems that a chip has broken off from D202. Anyone know what is it? Just curious. I tried googling but can't seem to understand as well.

And also judging by the looks of the heatsink. This should be where the "explosion" occurs

Count urself lucky, it didn't burn down the house.... use the serial number to buy 4D...
Just replace the PSU, chances high u can revive the system....

Please remember this lesson very well. Many people have sounded off to never ever buy cheap PSUs. If the PSU dies, it can take your entire PC with it. You are lucky that it is just your motherboard that has died thanks to a bad PSU.
That is how dangerous a cheap PSU with cheap components can effectively cost you an entirely new system as opposed to just getting the PSU replaced. Do at least read some forums in regards to the few PSUs that you have narrowed down to. Something like googling 'Corsair RM750x failed' to see people who have had problems and whether it's just a few or a lot of them. Amazon's reviews will help with that too. It is so that you have a rough idea of which one have the least amount of problems and go for that one.

Best of luck on your future PC endeavours. I love desktop PCs. They have lasted me way longer than any laptops which HP, Dell, Alienware, Acer all tend to have a hardware failure that I have yet experienced with my desktop. Pretty much cost saving. Thus, a good high quality PSU with Made in Japan (MIJ) parts will give you that peace of mind and you can concentrate on just that 1 troublesome hardware that is causing the problem instead of the PSU which can cost you a lot more if it takes the entire PC with it.

It's blown off, FYI Cooler Master PSU are not made by them but other OEMs.
For new rig best to get a reliable PSU, FYI do check if you are using power extension cord.
If any socket is not working or exhibit sound than please change it also.

Yup, finally got the chance to test my system today. CPU,GPU, ram and HDD all safe. woohoo!
