what you need, is to bring your wife to see a lactation counsellor. gynae not necessarily knows anything.

milk might not be producing enough because of latching, thats what i learnt. there;s tons of things to do and know about breastfeeding, its nto as easy or cheap as people think.

pills, drinks , food, doesnt work on everyone.

those who say formula is expensive, hasnt fully gone through a mother's struggle to breastfeed, some food decreases milk, stress or fatigue reduces it, getting it back by buying supplement , eat the right food = more expensive than formula.

can try booking an appointent with mother and child, expensive but worth every single cent...

Actually no need to spend money. All your wife need is

1) rest more. her duties as of now is to feed her baby and eat those confinement food.

2) baby to latch as much as possible. this is to allow the mother mind to produce milk for the baby.

3) drink more papaya soup. must buy those green papaya and cook with salmon & pork ribs..

4) keep pumping.. buying a good auto pump machine will benefit alot. can get Spectra S1+ from qoo10 or from carousell if budget.

milk bags can get from qoo10 as well.

hi parents, i'd like to ask. if you guys have suggestions on pumping more breast milk? :) i was trying to search if there's articles on helping the mother prep mentally on ways to pump milk easily. seems like from this article the main thing is for the mother to stay hydrated and well fed and the rest of the tips are more towards finding the right pump etc.
