Hi, i just realised when I uploaded a video to YouTube, it takes a long time to fully upload. I decided to check the speed test. 800+ download but only 9Mbs upload. When connected to wifi 500+ download and 100+ upload. How do I fix the Ethernet issue?

Check your internet cable is under which Class firs, also check your mobo enternet port what category is it and your router's supported speed to narrow down the issue.

No specs a bit difficult to understand your problem.

use another computer and connect directly to fiber. if it is fast, then the problem is with your router.

just realised the problem. MSI dragon center is limiting the upload speed. However upload speed is quite low at only 100+ Mbs

Ok glad you found the software problem.

100+ Mbps upload speed is very normal. Mine also same :)

Use the network property and check the connection speed of ethernet port. You may be having a fake cat5e cable.

Next thing to check is making sure you have a right driver for your 2.5G Ethernet card.

hmm, i tested on google speed test only 100+, fast.com 400+, speedtest.net using m1 server at 900+

different servers will give you different speeds

from the speedtest result, your ethernet connection is fine

I also would like to know.

Care to share pictures of your phone use the ethernet port?
If can, I wonder if phone can hit 1gbps dl ul speed.

Always use speedtest.net
There is a difference between MBps and mbps.

U have to check your Ping.

I have 900+mbps on both up and download with my starhub 1Gbps plan.
that is when I my Ping is at 2ms.

If Ping is 7ms, DL/UP = 600+ to 300+(Mbps)
then when my Ping is 13.2ms, then DL/ UL = 500+/90+ (Mbps)
etc. etc.

100+ normal meh, my singtel 1gbps with ethernet can get 800+ dl, 600+ ul

the USB A to C adapter is included in my Note9 box while the ethernet adapter is given for free with my Asus G501 as it does not have an ethernet port and no it can't hit 1Gbs

Either fake cat5e, or oxidised connectors... time to get cat6... saw some cat7 cables are those real ?

Also double check driver setting is auto select speed, could be running at 10mbs...
