main specs are

i5-3330 CPU
8gb RAM
SAPPHIRE TRI-X R290 GPU

not sure if other factors/components will affect frame rates.

I'm getting low FPS(below 30) in very populated areas ( where the sum of active players exceed 50 ) / or very large maps (with many mobs)

settings are on ultra
GPU on load runs at ard 65 deg

Am I supposed to get such low FPS? I was under the impression that a good GPU would give me 60FPS anywhere in this game, as WoW is not a GPU-killer

Personal experience with WoW is that Nvidia cards perform better than ATI cards.

Also, WoW is actually very dependable on one's processor so having a better processor would be very favorable.

What I can suggest (that actually helped for myself) is to turn V-sync on, and also tone down your shadows.

I think WOW is more optimised for Nvidia cards.

And WOW is actually quite CPU intensive too.

By right you should be getting somewhere near 60fps.

My prime suspect that your config locks you at 30fps. Might wanna check have you turned on V-sync? If so please turn it off. And your GPU temps seems too good to be true. If that card suppose to be performing more than it should, that temp is too good to be true, even on a no horserun air cooler. If the gpu has to push harder for higher frame rates, on triX your temps are around 7X-8X range.

It doesnt seems to be on full potential yet.
