LTA launches ***

We’re pleased to share about the launch of the Traffic Priority System (***), which provides SCDF emergency ambulances traffic signal priority within the ‘final mile’ to hospitals.

Co-developed with Singapore Civil Defence Force and Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX), the *** uses an in-vehicle electronic transponder to change traffic lights in favour of ambulances at 47 traffic junctions near hospitals. This allows SCDF to enhance their response time in critical situations.

Please continue to give way to ambulances and other emergency vehicles to allow them to reach their destination quickly.

Last time they got control over the traffic lights immediately next to fire stations. Now can control traffic lights near hospitals. Next time every traffic lights to ensure faster respond to emergencies.
