Woah so thats 120W.
Did the fuse blew when car was parked or when you were driving halfway?
When parked. B4 driving off, I inserted the cashcard and it is not working. The night before, I still can access the ERP parking gantry.

From LTA Facebook:

For those of you who are wondering about whether the OBU would drain your car battery, the short answer is no. When the vehicle ignition is turned off, the OBU will also switch to sleep mode, which is even lower than the power drawn by the IU today.

LTA say current is comparable, not low right?

So the question is what exactly is comparable?

For example, the top speed of a stock Cherry QQ is comparable with a 2020 F1 car, both are less than Mach 0.3
This type of answer put in exam sure fail. What is the speed of the car? Ans comparable to a horse.

Normal dry cell battery can last aro 2yrs 9 months. How many years is your scooter? Could have some problem with your starter if the bike is too old. Best to park your scooter under shelter.

For me, in 6 months the ERP 2.0 I'm using the 2nd unit already.

They may say it’s confidential cannot tell you
How confidential can it be?
U disconnect it, plug into it with a 12v power source and a watt meter, can get the power consumption already.

LTA think we stupid, no wonder come out with such junk device.

For something to overheat, means the current draw must be substantial.

LTA please clarify how much is the power draw when the car is parked, how long can we leave our cars parked before the car battery becomes too weak to start the engine :s11:

Can LTA please quash the rumours that the OBU would suffer permanent damage if internal battery of OBU becomes flat :s11:
In before they ask you to upgrade to EV... EV battery big big..

This OBU is as hot as my phone playing high graphics settings games. I really dunno what the heck is the OBU doing......... The coding or hardware must be super inefficient. Hope a brave soul will tear down the insides.

If I’m not wrong, the old iu, the carpark guys can come and scans to check season parking.
Won’t be surprised if one day someone say an authorised agency can go and scan for datapoints
how many years ago was that? that one is using RFID before the carpark gantry was set up in every carpark bah.

I got a strange feeling car OBUs are helping to process data for bike OBUs.
