However they categorized is also same amount of COE.

It is like breaking down 10 fishes for sale into 2, 5 or 10 category. We will end up looking at the price and decide which category.

Set a floor price
Mandate by law that Cat B cannot go under Cat A
If Cat B go under Cat A, then Cat B shall be CAat + $X.
Helps in estimating future government revenue also.

Review Cat D too. Small 2B bikes should not have to pay the same amount as Class 2A/2 bikes lije Harley, Ducati, and those high powered Yamahas, Hondas etc. And don't let bike leasing companies come and take up the COEs. There should be no bike leasing at all. Make 2B affordable for those of us who really need and use it, keep commercial leasing out of the game.

More than $6b collected from COEs a year just issuing them, what an awesome way. Almost the equivalent to property tax + stamp duty.

Focus on roadtax. EV are charged the highest roadtax. While ICE cars, even ones that have high pollution and noisy are super low roadtax. Goes against their policy objective.

Doesn't make any sense. That requires deeper review than COE.

All pooled into a single COE.

When used to register cars, any car that is OMV more than S$50k, need to pay 'luxury' tax equaling to COE value

I agree that the LTA should reduce EV road tax. However, there is a risk that some may push to increase ICE and hybrid cars road tax instead. I sincerely hope that LTA and MOM policies will become key issues in the next election, and that those responsible for the pain caused by the COE system will be held accountable.

Their greed is clear from their eagerness to hike transport fares , electricity and water tariffs.

i think if phv has their own cat, it is also very risky because ione month only got certain number of coe and if LTA decide to give phv more coe than private use then coe for private use will be even more expensive
