Just curious why are we not allow to bring liquid in more than 100ml for hand carry but for checked in it is OK to bring more than that amount ? Are the airport scanners that powerful to detect all the check in luggage?

I think something that it can be turn into a bomb during flight for terrorist purpose but check-in luggage no problem.

actually from what i know.. its up to 1L. but it must be in containers less then 100ml and it all must be placed in one clear plastic bag.

its certainly a red flag, if you carry on 10 x 100ml bottles.. they will advise you to check it.. or they will withhold it from you till you land....

Not sure how they check. But i ever bring check in 1 bottle of pina colada inside check in lugagge goin back from sfo. No problems.

Yeah, you're allowed to carry in the check-in luggage.
