I am halfway making bookings and arrangement for my Dec-Jan trip to Kansai area. While I have in the past done hiking trips in Japan, this is the first time I am doing a multi-day hike from Koyasan to Katsuura at the coast of the Kii Peninsula. I will start on Christmas Day from Koyasan, stay overnight and then start hiking from there till New Year's Eve reaching Kii-Katsuura.

I am not keen on the idea of bringing extra jeans or shirts that are more suited for wearing in the city in my hiking backpack. I know you are not allowed to store stuff in train station lockers for more than 3 days. Otherwise this will be the cheapest option. I would have deposited them at a central train station in Osaka and collect them on returning from Ise Jingu on 1st Jan.

I have used Ta-Q-bin before in Japan and I have also checked their website which states that I can specify delivery date within a week of sending it. This means I must forward it to the hotel in Kii-Katsuura on 31st as that is the last day they will hold the luggage.

Does anyone has experience of sending luggages from hotel to hotel in Japan? The last time I used Ta-Q-bin in Japan was to send a document and it was pretty reliable.

Anyone has other suggestions on short term storage of luggages in Japan?

I will be arriving in KIX at 9-10pm. Anyone has a good location near Osaka station that is convenient?

i have used Ta-Q-Bin to send my luggage from Toyoko-inn Matsumoto to Hotel Kinki in Osaka.

just make sure to inform the hotel receiving the luggage so they will be expecting the luggage. u can probably email the hotel to let them know. for my case, i got toyoko-inn staff to help me call up hotel kinki since they are help me to arrange for ta-q-bin

I also realised it might be better to stay near Namba station. I can easily take the Rap:t from KIX to Namba. And I am going to Koyasan on 25. The train for Koyasan starts at Namba.

Any suggestions for Namba then?
