Luggage transfer

Going to Osaka, Kyoto, Kinosaki and other places in a couple of days time. Taking public transport all the way. We heard there is luggage transfer services where we can get our luggage transferred to our next destination.

May I ask where to locate this service? Can we just ask the hotel we are staying in and do most hotels provide this service?

Yes, check with hotel concierge upon check-in. Ask for cut-off timing to drop your luggage and the number of days for delivery.

Prepare your next hotel’s forwarding address in Japanese and telephone number if possible, easier for hotel concierge to contact the other side for your booking confirmation. Cash only.

Most jap hotels should be able to help you transfer luggage... unless it is those fully self service or limited concierge service hotels...
