take down the specialist name and request a memo from him stating there is no problem.

request a copy of the MRI report(pay can alr but since NSF should be free)

see what the MRI report says or seek second opinion. if confirm got slipped disc then go complain until make sure that specialist kena.

i myself suffer from slipped disc and have 2 specialist saying different thing also. although MRI report states which part already buldging. slipped disc is something that you will never recover from. can only prevent it from worsening. even surgery may not solve the problem.

Slipped Disc is a 1st world problem lah, all voice down to your sitting posture etc.....I also kanna slip disc and went for physiotherapy or regular to make my lower back feel better.

When you go see a specialist is either you want him to operate on you or you want to get a memo for downgrade.

Anyway as long as you get hold of your MRI, pay abit of $$$ go private specialist and immediately get him/her to write you a medical report. It cost $$$ but you can downgrade with this coz its based on your actual health condition. Unless your MRI bo tai ji, then no one can help you.

I have recently gone thru 2 slip disc operation and is NSmen.

2 Options.

i) If you can tahan the pain. Go to see Poly clinic , get a referral to a government Hospital to see a Ortho Specialist at TTSH or SGH etc. This whole process from See Specialist to Operation to recovery will take 3-6 months excluding recovery. If its too painful and cannot walk etc. Go see Private Specialist@Mount Elizabeth or Government Hospital A&E.

ii) If you fully covered by Medishield insurance or money is not an issue. You can see a private Hospital at Mount Elizabeth. Of course private is faster but need $$$CASH. Can cost up to $20,000 ++ in total.

In summary.
The specialist will do an MRI scan to determine if you require an operation or medication & physiotherapy. From there you will downgraded after that.

Can I use this letter to excuse outfield cause it's my last high key liao and no pt downgrade.
