Matter of time another law relating to race will be enacted. So many test balloons on racism floated recently.

I think it'll be related to next presidential elections

Maybe need another minority candidate.

Anything to do a tan cheng block

Petition to scrap our national pledge.. cos it's no longer "regardless of race, language or religion"..

And please, a pledge is not an aspiration..

Singapore has not arrived at a state where its people are free of racial discrimination,
And never will it be.

Let's face it.

The Singapore residents population is 74.3% Chinese, 13.5% Malay, 9.0% Indian, 3.2% Others.

No matter how they meddle with the foreign workers composition...

To put it simply, anywhere will always have racial discrimination. Not only Singapore. This is the reality.

GRC system can let the PAP will an election by just over 20% of all votes.
Example:
1 GRC 100,000 voters.
1 GRC 5 seats
To win 1 GRC, eg 55,000 votes for PAP
10 GRC = 550,000 needed for PAP
10 GRC win = 50 seats against total parliament seats of 97. Is a majority.
550,000 / 2.65 millions voters (2020 GE), just over 20% of votes for PAP will win the election.

"We have the GRC system to ensure at least a minimum number of minority legislators in Parliament," he said.

Actually,

To use GRC to ensure minority representation, in my opinion, is fair enough.

The problem is that I feel that the GRCs need to be reorganized, and the GRC boundaries should be permanent.

I feel that the Singapore Government should consider removing SMCs altogether, and let every residential town be a GRC.

If really want to change the political system, and not just want to occasionally mention this topic for fun, it's either all SMCs, or all GRCs.

If really want to have minority representation, I feel that the government should eliminate all the SMCs and let the Singapore political system be fully comprise of GRCs.

And when something happened to the minority member in the group - amazingly it no longer matters as the rest can function without the person or what he/she represents ...uniquely SingaPAPore

They introduced a racial based GRC policy to combat racism.

This policy allocates the job not to the best possible candidates but rather offer jobs to candidates based on their race.

Make perfect sense. Lol.
