Erm, he is not a public figure. The media was there for the parent. Of course siam lah. What he do is his own dai-ji. He not public figure no need to answer to anyone bah. Let along bystander and stranger. As long as he is there. Think the other children also never show up in public, maybe in private, thus cannot really fault him for it bah.
The other two sons went.
Eldest at funeral too.

Actually quite interesting to see the dynamics of LHL's family through this.

Li Hongyi went to the wake together with his father and mother, but all three didn't attend the cremation. (No mention of the second son, Li Haoyi, at all by the media. Perhaps there's a reason he can't attend?)

Li Yipeng went to the wake on his own, and showed up for the cremation. Cremation is usually only attended by close relatives and friends, and he's the only person from LHL's side of the family to attend, so he's probably in LWL's "white list" to attend.

Perhaps can infer from above who's really in LWL's "black list" and barred from attending her cremation?

just goes to show there some internal politics on a family level

Yes he is not a public figure but he is LWL's nephew needs to act this way meh? What wrong with nephew visit own auntie funeral? 🤔🤔 If nothing wrong why need act this way?
He did go didn't he. Just that he don't want to be in the limelight for it. No right or wrong bah. The media was there more for the parent. He avoided the initial direct media so what. Who of others to judge his character siah. Some more, not implying anyone, but think many with their parent there they also never really visit or care much, let alone chip in much to take care. No need think too much about other people filial piety aspect bah.

Your reasoning makes no sense. He is not public figure but he can just stand behind and walk normally. No need to hide until like that. And why he wasn’t at the cremation?

Yes he did go but acting very kind of funny. How did he going to steal the limelight away from his parents since both walking Infront of him. Secondly he is not a international famous public figure is he?

Well its his decision, no? He no public figure, so he can choose to either walk together or siam also. The media attention is more for the parent. So, from his standpoint, avoiding the initial media contact no wrong bah. To each their own. Its make sense. Just not to those who don't want to accept it.
