Uses: Skyrim with some mods @ Ultra , Assassin's Creed 2 on wards & LoL

i5-4460 + Asrock H97M-ITX/AC
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4gbx2
Samsung EVO 850 250GB
Asus GeForce GTX970 4gb STRIX
Corsair 380T Mini ITX
Corsair RM 450W
Windows 7 64bit
Dell U2414H

Sold my previous rig at not too much at all loss and I'll probably be buying part by part online since its soooo much cheaper but is there any parts that is recommended to buy locally?

Will Lazada have CNY sales like >$500 get $100 off?

Is this build overkill for my needs?

1) Do you have a need for wifi? If there is no need, the Asrock H97M-ITX/AC is a waste of $$$ and you should get something cheaper like an Asus H81i-PLUS.

2) The fast write speeds of the Samsung 850 Evo will not be utilised fully in a gaming rig. Get something cheaper like a Crucial MX100 or an OCZ ARC 100 instead.

3) Corsair's RM PSUs have a comparatively inferior build quality when compared to PSUs from competiting brands in the same market segment. Get a Seasonic S12G non-modular PSU instead or a Superflower Leadex if you wanted a modular PSU.

4) It would be a better idea to buy the casing locally as casings will incur high shipping fees due to the bulkiness and weight of the casing unless you have got some good deals with a surface mail service.

May also want to buy the mobo and the GPU locally for the local warranty in case of faults with these parts.

1) Yup. I don't have ethernet anywhere near my rig.

3) Never used non-modular before only semi. If non-modular will have a lot cables hanging around?

4) Amazon free shipping don't need care bulkiness right? My case like $50+ cheaper in Amazon then PCT...

Bulky items generally no free shipping. If free, people here would have bought fridges and washing machines from amazon.

1) All these unused cables in a non-modular PSU should not be an issue in the Corsair 380T as the PSU is located at the bottom of the rig and having a bunch of wires at the floor of the casing should not have a major impact on the airflow and cooling of the parts in the casing.

2) The thing is, not everything sold at Amazon qualifies for free shipping to Singapore. If I am not wrong, there are some things like mobos, PSUs and casings that will not qualify for free shipping as Amazon will not ship these items to Singapore (due to excessive weight and bulkiness) and you may have to buy these items through a forwarder and that is where shipping may be a potential wallet killer unless you know a forwarder that provides cheap surface mail.

LOL good point XD. Talking about fridges, I think I should get a mini fridge for convenience haha.

Whats the difference in the GTX 970 cards in lazada? 1 asus 1 zotac 2 palit. Do they perform significantly different? Which should I get?

Also decided to change my case to Silverstone RVZ01 and PSU to Silverstone 450W gold SFX PSU.

Generally their cooling systems and length differ. I can say for sure the palit would not suit your case since you need at least 3 slots for the case, so you are left to choose between Asus and zotac...

Go for Msi if possible :o

MSI GTX 970 4GB ARMOR O.C (499 in pct) or the ASUS GTX 970 4GB STRIX (489 on lazada if have the 100$ coupon) or the Leadtek WinFast GTX 970 HURRICANE(499 in mynextcom)

Iis the MSI GTX 970 4GB ARMOR O.C in PCT same as the MSI GTX 970 4GD5T OC on mynextcom?
